MTB END OF SUMMER SKILLS CAMP REGISTRATION OPEN
Overview:
This camp will serve as a development camp for ages 8U-12U and 13U-18U. The sessions will have different focuses and goals for each age group, led by current and former college-level instructors.
8U-12U Group:
Instructors will work with each participant on what it takes to dominate at their level, from pre-game approaches to in-game execution, and most importantly, what happens off the field. Major focuses will be on proper preparation, how to establish a routine, basic baseball fundamentals, and much more.
13U-18U Group:
Instructors will be focusing on what it takes to play baseball at the next level: proper throwing programs, the importance of personal preparation, consistent routines and individual skill development. This will not be run like a summer camp; it will be run like a college workout. Each participant will benefit from both an educational and athletic experience and hopefully take away many skillsets (on and off the field) to prolong their baseball career beyond high school.
Instructors:
Coach Anthony DePino is currently in the heart of a promising baseball career. As a former captain of the DHHS 2021 state championship team and current starter at the University of Rhode Island, Anthony has earned many accolades/achievements including 2 time All-SCC, All State First Team, Freshman All American, and All New England First team, among others. Anthony also holds possession of the all-time home run record at URI.
Coach Danny Carbone is an assistant coach for the Madison Tigers 14u travel team, former standout pitcher at DHHS and a member of the 2021 state championship team. Prior to coaching, Danny played his college ball at Central Connecticut State University for two years until injuries cut his playing career short.
When:
August 19th-20th (rain date 26th-27th)
Group 1: 9am-12pm. Ages 8-12
Group 2: 1pm-4pm. Ages 13+
Location: Town Campus Field- 8 Campus Dr, Madison CT
Cost: $150 for 1 day / $200 for 2 days.
