Information About the Madison Tigers (9U-18U) Baseball Program

Get Ready for Big Baseball Action!

The Madison Tigers Travel Baseball program was designed to provide skilled players with the opportunity to play competitive AAU Baseball at the regional level. Our Travel Teams (9U through 18U) compete in the East Shore Travel League (ESTL) based in New Haven, with many of our games played at home in Madison.  In addition, our Tiger Teams will have the opportunity to compete in Regional baseball tournaments which may be based in-state or outside of Connecticut. The Madison Tigers have also entered teams in local Babe Ruth and Legion leagues throughout the past few seasons (dependent on number of registrations each season).

Our brand of "Tiger Baseball" is played with heart & hustle.  We preach effort and teamwork, and work hard to train our players so they have the skills and confidence to succeed on the field.  We use a program wide approach to developing skills, so each of our Teams is preparing and learning in the same manner.  This consistency in everything from our pre-game warm-ups, to our throwing progressions and fielding/hitting repetitions puts our players on a track to succeed.  We encourage our players to work hard in practice so they see continual improvement throughout the year.

We take great pride in the fact that we are a single-town baseball program comprised of close friends and supported by Madison families.  We believe that our model for playing competitive baseball is in many ways superior to those "for-profit" programs which charge many times more, and who place winning above all else...often at the expense and well being of their players health.  While playing competitively, and winning games is always our goal, we place an emphasis on effort, improvement and positive coaching over all else.

Please note:   Our Madison Tiger Teams at the 9U, 10U, 11U, and 12U age groups will coordinate with Madison Little League in an effort to allow all players to compete in both Programs.  However, as there is no formal association with Madison Little League (MLL), we cannot guarantee that there will not be conflicts between the schedules of both Programs.  It is our goal to work closely with MLL to avoid/minimize conflicts.
