Madison Travel Baseball offers competitive teams for players ages 9-18
Leagues include AAU, Babe Ruth and American Legion

All players MUST register online to be considered for one of the teams even if you are unable to go to tryouts or are not attending workouts.

• Player selection for all teams will be based on winter workouts, tryouts, and/or previous baseball background.
• Official Tryouts for AAU Baseball (9U-14U) will be February 2nd and 3rd at Shea22 Baseball Facility in North Haven.
• Registration for tryouts and team selection for Tiger's Baseball, Babe Ruth, and American Legion will open beginning of January.

Special Pitcher's workout: The  5:30pm-6:00pm pitcher's workout is an additional workout for all registered pitcher's ages 13-18 age at no additional charge.
 

 MADISON TRAVEL BASEBALL PROGRAM – SPRING/SUMMER 2013

Madison Baseball exisits to provide highly skilled players an opportunity to experience competitive baseball at the highest regional level. 
Three baseball programs for player’s 9U-18U are offered:
 
Programs Offered 
 

1. AAU Baseball:      9U, 10U, 11U, 12U, 13U, 14U: Season April-July
2. Babe Ruth:          13 Prep: Season April-June and Juniors 14/15yo: Season May-July
3. American Legion:          Junior (16U) and Senior (18U) teams: June-July

 
*Ages: Tigers Baseball & Babe Ruth = Age on April 30, 2013; American Legion: Age on December 31, 2012
*Ages 9-12U teams are supplement to Madison Little League
 
Player Development: 
 

• Player development programs will be coordinated by Rob Corraro and Travis LaPointe.
• Teams will be run as competitive travel teams, with roster sizes targeted at 12 or 13, at the coach’s discretion.  
• Madison Baseball will select and or hire dedicated and qualified coaches.

 
Program Overview
 

• Winter Facility Workouts:                    4 to 6 sessions, mid-February -  March
• Practices:                                               1-2 practices a week will be scheduled by coaches
• Tournaments:                                       1 to 2 local / regional tournaments
• East Shore League for AAU Teams   24 to 32 games + playoff tournament 
• Babe Ruth:                                            14-20 games + playoffs, weekly practices
• American Legion:                                 35+ games, daily practices

 
Winter Gym Workouts: (Registration will run from December 3-14)
For all interested players ages 9 - 18 Madison Baseball offers a Winter Workout program to prepare for all spring baseball
 

• Hand Head Coach Travis LaPointe will oversee the 9U-13U workouts
• Madison Baseball 18U Commissioner Coach Rob Corraro will oversee the 14U and High School workouts
• Varsity Daniel Hand Baseball Players and Tigers Baseball coaches will assist in these workouts

 
9U – 14U Schedule: Sundays, January 6, 13, 20, 27 @ Brown School 

High School Age Players Schedule: Sundays, January 6, 13, 20, 27, February 10, 17, 24, March 3  

Enrollment is limited to 30 players at each age, so please enroll now!
 

• Workouts will be part of the evaluation process for team selection.
• Cost - $100 for 9U-14U
• Cost - $160 for High School students

 
Tryouts 
 

• 9U-14U tryouts will be held on either February 1^st or February 2^nd,  Location and Times TBA.
• American Legion teams will be selected in April.
• There is no fee for tryouts.

While attendance at the Winter Gym Workouts or the Official Facility Workout/Tryout is not mandatory to be selected for one of the teams, they are highly recommended to allow players to showcase their abilities and coachability.  Players’ baseball history will also be considered for roster selection.  
 
Team Selection:  
 

• Coaches will notify all players trying out if they have been placed on a team.
• If you are selected for one of the teams, you will be asked to register within 48 hours.
• Players may be placed on one of the Tigers baseball teams, Babe Ruth teams, Legion teams, or not placed at all.
• 9U-14U Tigers and Babe Ruth 13U will be notified following the February 2^nd workout
• Junior/Senior Legion and Babe Ruth (14/15) will be notified first week of April

* By agreeing to play the expectation is that each player understands the time commitment required.
 
 
Team Cost: 
Between $500-$800 per player. Exact cost for each team will be announced before the final workout.  We are waiting on final league fees.
